Starship- Video Updates

Hey Jammers! I apologize for the slow updates, and I hope to remedy that.

Hopefully soon, Animal Jam Starship will have video updates. The process is still early, but it is hoped that I will be able to upload a video directly to here, or able to post the link. More info as it comes.

Endangered Animals and new den

Have you seen the Lab? You can watch movies and learn about aquatic creatures.

The new den, the ruins den, is underwater. It's comparable size to the Sunken Ship.

Monkeys are leaving Jamaa in a few weeks due to endangerment. Why do you think this occured, Jammers?

Leap Year Party

A new party, named Leap Years party, has been added to the party list.

February 16th Update

In an effort to become a noteworthy blog, the name has been changed. Starting on FEBRUARY 18th, the URL will ALSO change. The blog has NOT been removed, it will be renamed.

Welcome to the February 16th Animal Jam Update! A new animal is here!

                                                   

The penguin is land and sea.
If you didn't already notice, you now have to pay for each animal instead of slots. Your most used animal will also be in the first slot for easy access.

New items have been being restocked in the shops every day now. Every Monday has been turned into Rare Item Monday, where AJ stocks an item that might have left the shelves.

                                                   

In our Jamaa Shop, the new item today is a Curly Wig.

In the Lost Temple of Zios...

                                                 
There is indeed a new penguin statue. And head over to the Appondale shop to grab a new banner for your den.

                                                

Also, congrats to Mythical Therabbit for the successful Jam-A-Gram contest winner! You can check their original entry and others out in the Township.

There is also a new Heatwave party. It appears to occur every 3 hours, so get there while you can, Jammers! A screenshot of the party and more will be taken at a time when one is in session.

The new Phantom Invasion game has also changed. Instead of a random color, you now have to shoot ONE button, but the phantom will be rapidly shifting around. the speeds appear to be random, so you'll have to time it yourself. If you win, you will be awarded with new figures:
                                        

There is also a chance of winning a rare, gold plated toy.

This was awarded on my second try, so statistics are unknown.

Also, something very important worth noting. The last page of this week's news states...

"A LEAP YEAR is a year that has an extra day, and 2012 is a leap year! The extra day will be on February 29th, and in honor of the day, something awesome will be coming to Jamaa! Be sure to come back on FEBRUARY 28th, 29th, and MARCH 1st to find out what it is!"

Noting that Leap Years only occur every 4 years, I believe it will be something very big. What do you think it is?

Feburary 2nd Update

Welcome Jammers! Our blog will strive to become more frequent in the future.
For now, here is the new update.

The February Member Gift is a lion plush, and it comes in a few different colors.Animal Jam has also released a new building, which replaces where the Pillow Room's old location. The Pillow Room has now replaced the Medical Room. the Medical Room sadly no longer exists.

Here is the inside. The Arcade has a shop with arcade machines for your den. Two areas are notably closed off.

There is also a new game in the arcade, which gives you a figurine of an Animal Jam animal if you win.
The game costs 10 gems to play, and doesn't require much thought. All you need to do is choose a color. If you pick the correct color, you win one of these:

The game appears to be based purely on luck. Any statistics or hints on the game will be posted. if any, after they are discovered. Meanwhile, at the Clothing shop we have two new items.

Heart Lockets are for everyone to buy. Heart blankets are for members only.

In Den Items...

There are currently no new items in the Temple and Cocoa Hut.

Remember to submit a picture to use as the new Jam-A-Gram! Penguins are soon to come out, too.

Animal Jam January 5th Update

Hi Jammers! The new update is here, and a new animal arrived in Animal Jam. The horse is a member's only animal.


In the clothes shop, we have two old items returning.

Welcome mats and crystals. We also have a new game.

The new game is called Scooped. You have the match the ice cream cone in the middle by clicking on flavors and toppings at the botton.

In the news, we also have a puzzling pet... can you put the pieces together?

More new stuff includes shoes in the Cocoa Hut, more den items in Appondale and the Temple, and a new flag contest in the news.
